Physical Culture Instructor Training Programs On-going Certified Instructor training programs are being offered as a result of the demands of numerous communities and Seniors facilities throughout the province of Alberta. These programs are the key to promoting and delivering the Physical Culture philosophy. They are offered to seniors' facility practitioners, community recreation leaders, school teachers, pre-school leaders, pre/post natal leaders, rehabilitation aide/therapists, community seniors and the general population interested in offering fitness programs. PHYSICAL CULTURE OLDER ADULT TRAINING PROGRAM FOR PRACTITIONERS!!! PURPOSEFUL MOVEMENT FOR OLDER ADULTS (8 AFLCA Fitness Alberta CEC's)
This program has been developed to address a significant gap in the industry of Physical Activity Programs for older adults residing in Alberta communities. As the demographics of Alberta shift toward an aging majority, the demand for exercise/physical activity programs specifically designed for the older adult is continually increasing. This manual will provide practitioners and leaders with an exercise program appropriate and adaptable for Older Adults housed both within the community and seniors facilities. This program is recognized by Alberta Seniors Citizens Housing Association (ASCHA), Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Injury Prevention Centre, Univeristy of Alberta. TARGET: Practitioners working with the rural and urban older adult population residing in seniors’ facilities and communities throughout Alberta. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
